So today, we decided to clean out the garage. The boys have a lot of fun toys that would be great to play with on rainy, or snowy days, but they can't get to them. At about 10 o'clock I decided to head out into the garage, full well knowing that Ryan would follow; that is the man's domain you know! We got rid of a lot of stuff; took it to Good Will and took stuff to my sister for Mady.
While Ryan was in Mac, he stopped at Lowe's to get shelves that hang from the ceiling, they are great. Finally, after arguing over the placement they were up. We put all the stuff that we didn't use on a regular basis on them and we gained a large amount of room.
Mason stayed inside most of the day watching the "agains" and "pets" (backyardigans and wonder pets); thank God for DVR! When we were finally done at about 9:30 pm he was ready to play with the train table and Jacob's 4 wheeler. He was very disappointed when we told him he had to come in for the night.
Jacob was a huge help. He is such a big boy. He made sure Mason was taken care of; unless he had a messy diaper. He got him a snack and milk and what ever else Mason asked for. He is such a great big brother, most of the time. I can't wait for a rainy day to go out and play with the boys, I'm sure we will get one soon!

Going to the Wiggles today!
I decided that I would take the boys to the Wiggles concert, what was I thinking? I don't even like the Wiggles, but the boys do so I guess that is what counts. Ryan has to work so I recruited my Mom to help me with them.
Mason doesn't really know what to expect and Jacob is very excited. We took Jacob to see Bear in the Big Blue House when he was little and he loved it. Mason loves music so I thought this would be great for him; we will see.
I will let you know how it goes!
UPDATE-

The kids had a great time, even the bigger ones! (Mom and Me). Mason wasn't sure at first, but he got into it after a while. We sat by the aisle, so he was able to dance his heart out. My neice Mady even had fun and she is only 9 mths old.

I took the plunge!
I did it. I reluctantly took the excursion in and traded it for a minivan. I am officially a soccer mom now. It wasn't a tough choice, it was a matter of what was best for our pocket book. We were spending more for gas than we were for the car payment and insurance.
I am getting used to the idea of a van and it helps that the boys really like it. We made sure that we got one that has a DVD player so the boys are not in the back fighting, and yes they fight. We have yet to go grocery shopping yet, so I'm not sure how that is going to be, but we will figure it out.

Mason's first day back to Mandy's
So yesterday was my first day back to work in three weeks. I have been home fighting a virus and Mason has been "taking care" of me. I was a little concerned with how he was going to do, since it had been so long and he was starting to have a hard time before I got sick. (he likes to stay home with Daddy!)
I had to go to the Dr. in the morning, so I took him with me and then dropped him off when I was done. All morning long we talked about all of his friends at Mandy's and how he was going to go play with them. He was kind of excited and kind of not. When we turned the corner to the babysitters, Mason started yelling, "Mandy's house, Mandy's house." He was so excited. When I got him out of the van, he went running into the house and yelled "Hi Mandy!"
When it was time for me to leave, I gave him a kiss goodbye and told him to have a great day. He turned and looked at me and said "Have a day Momma!" I just wanted to cry. Even though I was very sick for the last three weeks, it was nice to be able to stay at home with my baby.
When I went to pick him up in the afternoon, I had to pull him away from the toys. He did not want to leave- I guess this should make me feel good, but it doesn't.

Today was a break through day!
So I have been having a hard time letting Mason grow up. Ryan wants to use "Super Nanny" techniquies by putting him in his bed and letting him cry it out and I say no. While I have been sick for the last 3 weeks, Ryan has had to deal with the boys much more, giving them their baths, and all of the stuff that I usually do. While he was taking on my normal routine, he decided to take on the night time one as well. I didn't think that it would work, or maybe hoped it wouldn't, but it did.
At 9:00 pm, Ryan told the boys to go upstairs and brush their teeth and get into bed. Mason ran upstairs, did what he was asked and climbed into his bed. He turned on his new Wonder Pets cd and fell right to sleep. I was very impressed.
Now that I am feeling better, Ryan reminded me that I needed to keep up with what he started last week. I didn't think it would work but I gave it a try. I told the boys to go brush and Mason went along for the ride. When he was done, he climbed into bed and didn't make a peep. I expected some fussing and whining but nothing from him, most was from me.
I am slowly loosing my baby. All the special moments that him and I shared are slowly slipping away from me, what am I to do? I feel like I didn't get to spend as much time with Mason when he was little because I had to go back to work right after he was born. I have been trying to charish every moment with him, but I feel like he is growing too fast and I am missing out on everything.
