Snow Day Pictures!

Snow Day in November.....who could ask for anything better?
Mason and the Lyla (the neighbor who is his "girlfriend) playing in the snow!

Fall decorations in the snow....CRAZY! It's time for Christmas ones!

Jacob and Daisey sledding down the driveway!

I couldn't think of a better way to spend the morning with my kids!

Yeah.....SNOW!

First snow of the season happened last night and WE loved it. All week long I have been watching the weather forecasts hoping it would come true....and it did! YEAH!

We found out last night that Sheridan School District would be opening 2 hours late, so we knew Jacob would get to sleep in but we were unsure about Mason's school. I woke up bright and early and started checking web sites and calling numbers. NO SCHOOL FOR BOTH KIDS......YES!

By 8:30 we were ALL bundled up and out we went. The boys and I had LOADS of fun sledding down the driveway and were back in by 10!

I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

Almost a year!

I can't believe it has been almost a year since I have posted......I am such a slacker!

A lot has happened in the past year, but I won't put you through all the misery of reliving it! In the past few weeks, we have done a lot of talking, swearing, and more talking about the direction my home business of childcare was going to take. For a long time I have been feeling like it was time to close shop, but I really do LOVE having the kids around. This week everything came to a head and enough was enough. Ryan and I decided it wasn't worth the little bit of extra money I was making to keep the doors open, so we gave all the parents a month to find another provider. The last day will be bitter sweet....I will miss the kids but it will feel so good to have my house and family back.

During all the talking, I brought up the fact that I would LOVE to be a foster parent! This subject is nothing new to Ryan, we talked about it when Jacob was about 2 but he wasn't too sure. He was worried about the fact that we would get attached to the kids and then they would be ripped out of our arms and we would never see them again. I know that this is very true and very real, but I can't help but feel like we could help a child. If we have to deal with a little heart ache on our end, that is find with me!

After many weeks of talking, we came to the conclusion that this is the direction our lives are supposed to take right now and we are getting the process moving. The boys are VERY excited about the idea and both are excited to share their lives and family with other children.

We will keep everyone posted on what is next in our busy lives!

Mason!

I know it's been awhile, but sometimes life just happens...life Farmtown on Facebook!

Anyway, we were sitting around the house the other day and Mason brought us our "lunch"! This is what was on the menu at Mason's restaurant...

Mason: "Mommy, would you like a drink?"
Me: " Sure! What are you going to bring me?"
Mason: "A Carmel frap with no whip and no tomatoes!"
Me: (chuckle) "Oh, that sounds great! Thank you!"

* I guess that means that we eat out and visit Starbucks too much!
