A new chapter in my life!

After months of going over and over our budget, we finally decided it is time for me to quit my job and stay at home with the boys. I am so excited, you have no idea.

Things at work have not been going very well, to say the least. They hired a new head teacher in our classroom and he isn't a good fit. He doesn't know a lot about early childhood education and he is not a supervisor, at all. He is a sexist pig, to put it nicely. Every day I was made to feel like I am a second class citizen because I am a woman. Anybody that knows me knows that I don't tolerate that. After long talks with the boss and no resolve, I couldn't take it anymore and decided it would be better if I just quit. I have wanted to quit for awhile now, but the kids are what kept me there. I will miss them tremendously.

To compensate my lost pay, I decided to get certified through the state to do in-home childcare. If I was getting paid to watch other peoples kids, I might as well do the same at my own home. The boys are really looking forward to having me here and I already have a few "friends" lines up to watch.

Stephanie Lux watched Mason from the time he was about 3 months old till he was about 20 mths old. She decided to go back to work, so Mason has been with out his friend Brandon for a while now. Alyssa and Brandon will be the first kids on my list for new "friends" to watch. They will be here a couple days a week, so I think the boys will have great fun with them.

I am looking forward to watching my kids grow up, and become young men that I know they can be. I am seeing some behaviors in Mason that I would just assume not see anymore. I am also hoping that Mason will not be so sick all the time; I am a little crazy when it comes to germs and cleaning.

Hopefully it will all work out for the best for our family and everybody will be happier, I hope!
