So this week has gone a little better. I realized that the little person is used to getting and doing what ever he/she wanted! The child has been here for about three months and one would figure that he/she would have caught on by now; but NO!
The highlight of the week was having the child spit in my husband's face. Ryan asked him/her to move over in the chair and the child told him "NO!" Ryan said, "You don't tell me No! Move over!" The child climbed down, got up in Ryan's face and spit! I just don't get it! It is a complete lack of respect for a child to spit in an adults face. What parent or child, thinks that is okay?
I am really having a hard time keeping my cool with it. My child would have done it once, been punished for it, and never done it again; I would make sure of that! I put this child in time out, have taken away privileges, and nothing seems to help!
Mason is starting to model some behaviors that this child is showing, and to be honest, I am very upset about it. It is really hard to be so strict with my own child; knowing that I can't be with other people's children. Hopefully it will get easier or I will go out of my mind; which ever comes first!
